About AI FootPrint Remover
AI FootPrint Remover is a free set of browser tools that show and remove the hidden data inside your images: camera details, GPS location, editing history and AI generator markers such as C2PA Content Credentials. It is built and run by Shahriar Ahmed in Bangladesh.
Why we built it
Every photo and AI image carries more than the picture. Phones save where a photo was taken. Editing apps save their history. AI tools save the prompt, the model and a signed record of where the file came from. Most people never see any of it, yet it travels with the file every time it is posted, sold or sent.
Most online cleaners ask you to upload your files to their server and then re-save the image, which costs quality. We wanted a tool that does neither: one that works on your own device and leaves the picture exactly as it was.
How we work
- Private by design. Files are opened and cleaned inside your browser. They are never uploaded to us.
- Lossless. We copy the image data byte for byte and skip the metadata, then check with a SHA-256 hash that the image data did not change.
- Honest about limits. Removing metadata cannot remove invisible watermarks such as SynthID, and it cannot control how a platform labels your post. We say so on every page.
- Free to use. Cleaning is free, with a daily allowance. Ads help us keep it that way.
What you can do today
The AI Metadata Remover cleans JPG, PNG and WebP files, including animated ones. The JPEG Metadata Remover is a focused version for JPG photos. Checkers, HEIC, PDF and video tools, and guides for each social platform and AI tool are on the way.
Responsible use
Use these tools on files you own or have the right to edit. Do not use them to take credit for someone else's work, to remove a creator's copyright notice, or to hide AI content where a platform, publisher or law asks you to disclose it.
