AI Metadata Remover
Remove C2PA Content Credentials, XMP, EXIF, IPTC and AI prompt data from JPG, PNG and WebP images. Pixels stay byte-for-byte identical, and every file is checked before you can download it.

Files are cleaned in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
What it removes
- C2PA Content Credentials (Adobe Firefly, OpenAI, Google and other signed manifests)
- XMP tags such as DigitalSourceType = trainedAlgorithmicMedia
- EXIF: camera, software, dates, GPS and comments
- IPTC captions, keywords and copyright blocks
- PNG text chunks with Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI or Midjourney prompts and workflows
What stays
- Every pixel, unchanged (SHA-256 verified)
- Orientation, so photos stay the right way up
- Color profile (ICC), so colors look the same
- Transparency and every animation frame
How it works
- 1Drop up to 30 JPG, PNG or WebP files.
- 2Choose which kinds of metadata to remove (all are on by default).
- 3Your browser removes them and re-checks the result.
- 4Download each file, or all of them as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
No. The tool reads the file's structure, copies the image data exactly as it is and leaves out the metadata blocks. It then hashes the image data before and after. If the hashes differ, the download is blocked.
No. Cleaning runs in a Web Worker inside your browser. You can turn off your internet connection after the page loads and it still works.
It removes the metadata those platforms are known to read, such as C2PA and IPTC/XMP AI tags. Platforms can also use visual classifiers and invisible pixel watermarks, which this tool does not touch, and their rules can change. We can't guarantee any platform's behavior.
No. Those live in the pixels, not in the metadata. Removing them would mean altering the image, which this tool never does.
When EXIF is removed, the tool writes back a tiny EXIF block that contains only the Orientation value. It has no camera, date or location data. You can turn this off with the orientation option on the JPEG page.
JPG, PNG (including animated PNG) and WebP (including animated and lossless). HEIC and AVIF support is coming next.
